Simply Impressive
1. Select the largest profile Encode® Healing Abutment for the implant site.
2. The Encode® Healing Abutment should protrude through the soft tissue at least 2mm. Radiograph the interface to verify the abutment is completely seated.
3. Syringe impression material around the entire Encode® Healing Abutment and adjacent teeth. Load impression tray and seat in the mouth. Allow impression material to set, per manufacturers instructions.
4. After material has set, remove impression from mouth, check to make sure markings on the occlusal of the healing abutment are visible. Take an impression of the opposing arch, a check bite, and a shade, send to the lab.
5. Upon completion, you will receive an Encode® Abutment, crown, gold screw, and try-in screw, per Dr’s prescription, ready for final delivery.
6. Remove the Encode® Healing Abutment.
7. Seat Encode® Abutment with markings toward the facial with the try-in screw. Radiograph the interface to verify the abutment is completely seated.
8. Seat crown and check contacts.
9. Replace try-in screw with the gold screw. Torque the gold screw to 20Ncm and cement crown.
10. Return Encode® Healing Abutment to the surgeon.
Check Encode® Impression to ensure the occlusal markings are picked-up in the impression.
Ask your surgeon to place Encode® Healing Abutments!
Eliminating the need for an implant-level impression leading to less chairtime while providing an anatomically precise restoration. This is the essence of the Encode® Complete Restorative System.
