Pretreatment Planning:

Pretreatment planning with diagnostic wax-ups are invaluable aids in restorative dentistry. We can offer suggestions on materials to be used, preliminary preparations, sequencing, and estimates. Our diagnostic wax-ups can be as simple as adding white wax to the model and noting changes to a full contour wax-up of all teeth involved for a consultation with the patient. Upon approval, we use these wax-ups to process provisionals, enabling the patient to approve esthetics and you the ability to check function.  We then have a blueprint for the definitive restorations.

The following outline is suggested to provide us with the information needed:

Any pertinent information regarding patient’s history.

Face-bow mounted study models, please include full extensions of flanges, vestibules, and palate.

Information regarding the overall treatment considerations.
